It is also called Yellow Gold due to the numerous benefits it offers to the human body. ‘Golden Milk’ or ‘Latte’ or “Haldi Doodh” or “Manjal Paal” are terms associated with beverages that are made from milk and turmeric.

Lung Health Benefits

Shunti Turmeric Tisane is known for its effects and bioavailability

  • Turmeric is a natural anti-inflammatory due to the compound curcumin that it contains. In some medical studies, curcumin has been shown to reduce the activity of toxins that create inflammation. It also inhibits the activity of inflammatory enzymes, and curcumin may even prevent the activation of inflammation-causing proteins.
  • Potent Antioxidant – Oxidants are molecules that cause damage to the body’s cells, and they’re also known as free radicals. They are held in check and removed by other molecules called antioxidants, and the curcumin found in turmeric is one such antioxidant. In fact, turmeric can help your body neutralize free radicals such as superoxide, hydroxyl and hydrogen peroxide, and neutralizing these free radicals may help reduce inflammation in the lungs.
  • Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD). One of the most common symptoms of COPD is the excess production of mucus, and this excess mucus tends to build up in the airways and make it harder to breathe. Turmeric has been shown to break down mucus, which makes it easier for your body to remove the mucus from its airways. The breakdown and removal of mucus may also help relieve coughing and improve your ability to breathe.

Liver Health: Oxidative stress has been considered a key causing factor of liver damage induced by a variety of agents, including alcohol, drugs, viral infections, environmental pollutants, and dietary components, which in turn results in progression of liver injury, non-alcoholic steatohepatitis, non-alcoholic liver disease, liver fibrosis and cirrhosis. Turmeric can increase the production of vital enzymes that help in breaking down and removing toxins in the liver. Turmeric also promotes good liver health by improving blood circulation. Curcumin is one of the most used indigenous molecules endowed by various shielding functionalities that protects the liver.

Kidney Function: It is important to take care of kidney health for the overall wellness. Decline in kidney functioning over a period of time may leads to a build-up of high levels of waste in the blood which makes a person feel unwell. It can lead to complications like high blood pressure, weak bones, nutritional issues, anaemia, and damage to the nervous system. Studies suggest that turmeric for chronic kidney conditions acts as a powerful weapon reducing inflammation that plays a vital role in kidney malfunction.

Digestive System: It helps in improving the digestion process, liver function, healing irritable bowel, ulcer, etc. Because of its Bioavailability property, the concoction will have general circulation all through the body.

Immunity booster: Turmeric’s natural antiseptic, antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties help stimulate the immune system and protect the body from infection.

Promotes good skin: Because of its anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial and antioxidant properties, turmeric may help to prevent acne, lighten dark circles, give a natural glow, heal wounds, reduce scars, delay wrinkles, reduce eczema and psoriasis.

Improves bone health: Curcumin supplements can help improve joint function, prevent bone loss and preserve bone tissue

Anxiety, Depression, and Insomnia: Major depressive disorder (MDD) is one of the most prevalent and debilitating disorders. Curcumin is the main active component in the spice turmeric that has been used for centuries in Ayurvedic medicine to treat a variety of conditions, including anxiety and depressive disorders. Curcumin has displayed, in a number of studies, a potency in modulating neurotransmitter concentrations, inflammatory pathways, excitotoxicity, neuroplasticity, hypothalamic–pituitary–adrenal disturbances, insulin resistance, oxidative and nitrosative stress, and the endocannabinoid system, all of which can be involved in MDD pathophysiology.

Major depressive disorder is characterized, by the 5th Edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM-5), by a depressed mood, loss of energy, a markedly diminished interest or pleasure, psychomotor retardation (or agitation), feelings of worthlessness or excessive or inappropriate guilt, insomnia or hypersomnia, significant weight loss, diminished ability to concentrate, and recurrent thoughts of death.

Curcumin could embody the dawn of nutriceuticals as anti-inflammatory and antioxidant components appear to be a possible alternative for depression. Curcumin’s neuroprotective effects, especially against stress-induced toxicity, suggest that turmeric can help stabilize mood and combat depression. If you’re dealing with anxiety or severe fluctuations in perceived quality of life, curcumin might be the supplement you need.

Oxidative and Inflammatory Conditions: Research suggests that curcumin can help in the management of oxidative and inflammatory conditions, metabolic syndrome, arthritis, anxiety, and hyperlipidemia.

Type 2 Diabetes (T2DB): Shunti Turmeric Tisane may help Type 2 Diabetics (T2DB) because of its anti-inflammatory property, as curcumin represents a promising therapeutic option for T2DM. It has been proven in clinical research that 5 gm per day of turmeric may help control Type 2 Diabetes.

Edema: Shunti – Turmeric Tisanes will help in reducing the swelling caused by excess fluid trapped in your body’s tissues (edema). Although edema can affect any part of your body, you may notice it more in your hands, arms, feet, ankles and legs.

Supplemental Antioxidants and physical Training Adaptation: Indeed, there is a growing body of evidence that the appearance of free radicals in skeletal muscle, besides having certain negative effects, also fulfils important physiological functions in cells, and that the right balance between antioxidants and free radicals is necessary for the desired physiological adaptations. Thus, it becomes necessary to assess the prudence of antioxidant supplementation, particularly among athletes in training.

Child Care: Child care can be concerning and stressful. The boon is that Shunti – Turmeric Tisanes can be added to milk that your child will love. It removes nasal congestion, cold & cough and it helps to keep their tender body warm.
